![]() ![]() These are both good points to consider, and if you want a more heavy-duty cabinet, then you may want to look elsewhere, but you also need to be ready to shell out a couple more benjamins as well. There are some poor reviews on Amazon, and most of them concern purchases upset about the thin metal or the plastic shelves. It has over 1,000 reviews on Amazon with an average of 4.7 stars. This cabinet is also mountable and can be mounted to other Stack-On gun cabinets. This ammo cabinet has a foam-padded bottom.Īlthough the most affordable and albeit well-made but featureless ammo cabinet, it does what it’s supposed to do very well. If you have more delicate items that need a bit of padding, look no further. Its locking mechanism was also designed to firmly secure the door. This ammo and gun cabinet comes with two removable shelves and a keyed lock. The Stack-On GCB-900 Steel Pistol/Ammo Cabinet a great value for buyers looking for a more affordable option. Thin metal compared to other more expensive cabinets and safes.Best Value – Stack-On GCB-900 Steel Pistol/Ammo Cabinet Make sure you read up on it before deciding to support Liberty Safe. One thing to be cautious of is the recent Liberty Safe debacle. That said, this safe is incredibly well-made, has excellent reviews, comes with a 5-year manufacturer warranty, and has a key replacement program just in case you ever lose yours! If you’re not overly concerned about fire protection, this is a great and good “bang for your buck” ammo storage solution. This shouldn’t be a problem because most people don’t need to get to their ammo quickly, but it is something to consider. In addition to the lack of adjustable shelves, this ammo cabinet only has keyed entries. Some reviewers were disappointed that the shelves were not adjustable, but this shouldn’t be an issue for most people. There were only a couple of negative things said about this robust ammo cabinet. It also has 11 cubic feet of internal storage to hold your ammo and more. It has three shelves that can hold up to 125 lbs a piece and dual locking bars that help deter thieves and their pry attacks. This is considered an ammo cabinet but is extremely well-made and constructed in the United States. The Liberty Safe Ammo Can was designed specifically for your ammo storage needs. Honorable Mention – Liberty Safe Ammo Can The Magnum Fireproof Home Ammo Safe is affordable and can hold all of your ammo in one place. With this safe, you won’t have to do that. If you’re like me, you don’t like your ammunition in a jumbled mess or having to dig the one box you are looking for out from the back of the safe. ![]() This will help keep your ammo safe in minor flooding events.Īlthough this safe is large, it will allow you neatly organize all of your ammo. This means that even though the safe is waterproof, it will take a couple of inches of water from the floor up to reach it. One last important and unique feature of this safe is that it has legs. ![]() This safe has a digital and keyed entry platform to ensure that you are never locked out. The shelves can hold an impressive 100 lbs a piece, so there is no need to worry about putting too much weight on them. It also has a lot of storage for all of your ammo needs, with room to spare for firearms, extra documents, or other important personal items. This safe is much heavier duty than cabinets. This safe has five shelves, is fireproof, and is constructed out of heavy-duty 14 gauge steel. We rated the Magnum Fireproof Home Ammo Safe as the overall best ammo safe that you can own. ![]() ![]() In that case you can access your Kindle personal documents from the Manage Your Content page, so it’s basically like it was before Amazon decided to merge the two together. At least for those that don’t have a cloud storage plan. The bottom line is Kindle Personal Documents are now separate from the cloud drive, again. Update: So now that the dust has cleared, this is basically all a big misunderstanding (or a failure to provide adequate info on Amazon’s part), coupled with a glitch that made deliveries to Kindles not work properly for a few days. So I submitted an email to Kindle support and will update this post if I get more info. I tried to use the chat option to get more details but no one knows what’s going on, and after getting forwarded to four different people without getting an answer I gave up, especially after they decided to direct me to Amazon Canada support for some strange reason. I say “probably” because I couldn’t get Amazon support to confirm this. To make this work you probably need to go to the Manage Your Content and Devices section at Amazon, go to settings, and disable personal document archiving. Users should still be able to use email and the Send to Kindle apps to deliver content to their Kindle apps and devices for free, but the files won’t get added to your Kindle account for syncing like before. Kindle device and app owners don’t have to worry about their previously uploaded files disappearing, as Amazon has stated that “all of the files you have previously stored in Cloud Drive are still accessible” in other versions of their emails that don’t have the Fire device exception. ![]() The new low-tier plan costs $11.99 per year, so at $1 per month it isn’t exactly breaking the bank, but whenever a company removes what was previously advertised as a free feature, there’s going to be a major uproar. The weird thing is I don’t even own a Fire device anymore and don’t have one registered to my Amazon account, so I don’t know why I got that exception. Since you are a Fire device owner, you automatically receive unlimited storage of photos you take with that device, plus 5 GB of free storage for photos, videos, and other files. Prime members automatically receive Unlimited Photos benefits for free. ![]() Or, if you have more than photos that you need to keep safe, the Unlimited Everything plan is perfect for all your photos, video, files, and documents, for $59.99/year. ![]() You can now save all your photos in one place with the Unlimited Photos plan for $11.99/year, plus 5 GB for videos and files. Thanks for being an Amazon Cloud Drive customer! Amazon Cloud Drive is introducing new unlimited storage plans. I received an email about this last night but the totality of the move didn’t register at first because it’s not clearly stated: Previously anyone with an Amazon account could add up to 5GB of personal documents to their Kindle account, even if they only used Kindle apps and didn’t own a Kindle device. You’d think they’d at least include owners of Kindle ereaders into the free plan, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. NOT TO WORRY! They are sewn inside the tent-carry bag. It will slip in between the tent wall and the curtain, in an effort to add extra protection from icy windy blasts and inclement weather. For the snow camping, I have purchased an extra thermal layer of sealed 4' x 10' insulation. I was delighted to note that this section has an interior, room-darkening liner, sort of a curtain. The sleeping compartment is not adequately described in the product details. My father-in-law (90 years old) came out to inspect, and LOVED it! He was amazed! Of course, not being staked, the ceiling did sag a little, but it was still tall enough for my 6'1" husband, my 6' father-in-law, and my 6'2' brother-in-law. Inside, the high ceiling of the tent gives a spaciousness that is amazing. We also bought a waterproof layer for under the tent, to prevent the floor from getting soggy! My hope is to keep the floor from being scratched or worn with holes, AS WELL AS providing some insulation from the icy ground. This is sealed attic insulation, with a layer of foam in the middle. My first experience will be SNOW CAMPING, so I'm looking to try to stay warm in a cocoon!įor additional comfort, we bought some insulation (4' x 125') for under the floor, and we also have floor mats to walk on. This is the first camping experience I have been invited on since my youth, my husband being a scoutmaster. We bought a queen-sized cot with air mattress (yeah, we're roughing it!), and I'm even considering getting a Tempurpedic mattress topper for it for additional protection from the cold and to provide comfort. Being a senior with arthritis, I do not relish the idea of sleeping on the cold ground! In fact, it isn't being ON the ground that is the problem, it is getting UP from the ground (I have arthritis in my ankles, knees, and 1 hip) that was the problem. I was overjoyed with the roominess and the space inside. We used sand bags (my husband has many for his hobby) to simulate staking. We could not stake the tent as we were on concrete. It gives a reassuring sense of stability. Once the tent is staked properly, it is easy to see how this tent could withstand moderate wind. I was astounded at how sturdy the air beams are! They are pocketed in a sealed sleeve of the tent, but were quite solid. NOTE: Use the supplied pressure meter to avoid improper inflation! Bonus! I had purchased a battery operated (and very noisy) high velocity pump to blow it up quickly, but the supplied pump inflated each tube in 20 pumps. Further details to follow once we camp in it. The following review is based on a non-camping experience, just on our first inspection and erection of the tent. In fact, when it arrived, I made my husband help me put it up on the back patio (it's large) when I got home from work! But MY experience is GREAT! I was so excited when it arrived 2 days ago, 7 days ahead of estimated delivery. I LOVE THIS TENT! I read all the reviews, mostly good, some not. I am sure there is more to learn about this tent. Finally, there is a ventilation panel above the sleeping area. However, the door has a screen, and there is ventilation around the bottom of the tent. These windows do not appear to have a screen. Since it was an oversight trip, we did not raise the 'blinds.' But I did peekĪround them prior to the sun going down. There have been camping trips in which we retired for the night, but were awakened by a drop of condensation hitting me in the face. But we had not secured the attached tent flys, and they whipped around. Accourding to the forecast, it was about 6 mph. Until about 10 pm, when the wind kicked up. Finally, we camped overnight on a friend's property next to the Tuolomne River. UPDATE: COVID cancelled our plans to camp in the snow. ![]() |
